HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAINING
Over many years, HASCOM has specialised in developing and presenting courses on health and safety management and related matters for individual clients. We are accredited providers for a number of organisations, many of who have flexible syllabi allowing them to be tailored to client requirements by authorised providers. The officially-approved textbooks for two of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) courses were written by HASCOM’s late Chairman, Allan St John Holt, and are published by the Institution. One of these, ‘Principles of Health and Safety’, has just been revised, updated and re-published in its eight edition, and is available direct from IOSH.
We design training courses to meet the specific needs of our clients, and specialise in short courses covering the following subjects:
- Risk assessment
- Manual handling
- Safety updates
- Asbestos awareness
- Abrasive wheels
We are always happy to consider other courses upon request.
For individually–arranged courses, we offer a fixed, inclusive fee which we quote in advance, regardless of the number of attendees up to an agreed limit. The fee depends upon the amount of work involved in preparation, the venue and other administrative details, and specific visual-aid equipment that we are asked to provide. Our time is usually charged by the day or the half-day, but we are accustomed to training for more than one group within the day where appropriate.
We can provide a master set of notes for duplication – or we can arrange to provide complete course packs for an additional charge. If required, attendance certificates are included in the course fees.
It all depends on what you want – if you don't know what you want, we'll help you decide.
