Members of Associations and Federations will look to them for assistance and advice on health, safety and welfare in todays conditions, where requirements are increasingly complex and the penalties for failure can be very large. Whether the penalty is financial, as in the case of fines or compensation, or intangible loss of reputation, business or public confidence members of these bodies need competent assistance.
Hascom Network offers a wide range of services to Associations and
Federations, which can offer them in turn to members. Some have gained members as a result of this service. Associations typically subscribe on behalf of their members to our unique Adviceline advisory service, giving their members an exdirectory telephone line to use for their questions. The subscription gives unlimited use during working hours, with up to 30 minutes research time per call free of charge.
Associations are provided with their own health and safety update news service, which they can pass direct to members each month or use as an information resource selecting items from it for use in their own publications. Association logos can be added free of charge. Strategy Notes covering new legislation and requirements are issued at intervals to Associations as well. For an additional, negotiated charge, Hascom will write safety manuals for Associations to issue to their members, including advice on safety policies, risk assessments and trade hazards generally.
Association members receive discounted services from Hascom if they choose to seek the help of the consultancy for projects; examples include the writing of safety policies, inspections and audits, preparation of risk assessments, and training. For any Association, central training and lecturing will enhance the facilities available to members. The Directors of Hascom will make themselves available to Associations for conferences, lecture sessions, seminars and regional meetings to explain and advise the membership on any health and safety topic of interest to them. We make a charge to defray our expenses, and will be glad to discuss this aspect of our service with any Association retaining our services.
The cost of all of this is remarkably little. For some of the Associations which retain our services, the cost of the Adviceline service is less than £5 per member per year so little that the service is offered by them at no charge as an additional benefit of membership. Hascom offers a very personal service to Associations. We have no set price list or standard service. Everything we do is tailored to the needs of our clients. That's why they renew with us, and recommend us for.
